DIRECTV this month will air seven sporting events in 4K HDR, the satcaster has revealed at its web site.

The 4K HDR lineup is led by six Major League Baseball games including tonight’s match up between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees from Yankee Stadium. Boston’s Drew Pomeranz is scheduled to pitch against the Yanks’ Luis Severino.

Below is the complete list of MLB games that will air this month in 4K on DIRECTV.

All games will be available in 4K HDR, except the May 19th contest between the Oakland A’s and Toronto Blue Jays, which will only be broadcast in 4K. (Note: HDR, which stands for High Dynamic Range, can make the 4K picture look more vivid and realistic.)

5/18 – LA Dodgers @ Washington, 7:05 pm ET, ch. 105

5/23 – Cleveland at Chicago, 8 pm ET ch. 106

5/25 – LA Angels at NY Yankees, 7 pm ET ch. 106

5/29 – Houston at NY Yankees, 7 pm ET ch. 106

In addition to the MLB games, DIRECTV will air this month’s AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament in 4K HDR on May 17 through May 20. The coverage, which will include holes 16, 17, and 18 each day of the tournament, will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET on May 17 and 18, and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on May 19 and 20.

The satellite TV service also plans to air an English Premier Soccer League game in 4K only on May 13 at 10 a.m. ET. Teams will be announced later. The game will air on channel 106.

Finally, DIRECTV has announced it will begin airing recorded concerts in 4K only every Saturday night on channel 104, starting with the Sting In Paris concert on May 12 at 9 p.m.
