Dish has joined DIRECTV in providing 4K coverage of Saturday’s MLB game between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
The game will begin at 4 p.m. ET from Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Rangers. Scheduled starters are Lance McCullers Jr .for Houston and Matt Moore for Texas.

Dish says it will air the 4K edition of the contest on channel 540.
Previously, DIRECTV announced it will air five MLB games in 4K in the coming weeks:
3/30 – NY Yankees @ Toronto, 7:07 pm ET (ch. 106)
3/31 – Houston Astros @ Texas, 4:00pm EST (ch. 105)
4/11 – NY Yankees @ Boston, 7:10pm ET (ch. 106)
4/12 – NY Yankees@ Boston, 7:10pm ET (ch. 106)
4/26 – Milwaukee Brewers@ Chicago, 8:05pm EST (ch.106)
In related news, Dish said yesterday it will provide a free preview of the MLB Extra Innings package of out-of-market games, starting today (Opening Day) through Thursday, April 5.
Comcast has also announced it will offer a free Extra Innings preview during that time period. Other pay TV providers may participate in the free preview so consult your channel guides for more information.
