DIRECTV next month will once again air the Masters Golf Tournament from Augusta, Georgia in 4K, but this year it will be in 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range).

The Masters, arguably the sport’s most prestigious tournament, will take place from April 5 through April 8. DIRECTV will offer 4K coverage of the ‘Amen Corner’ (holes 11th through 13th) as well as the 15th and 16th holes each day of the four-day event.

Coverage will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6, and at noon ET on Saturday, April 7,and Sunday, April 8.

The 4K coverage will be available on channel 106, DIRECTV’s dedicated channel for live 4K programming.

The satcaster aired The Masters in 4K in 2016 and 2017, but this will be the first year it will offer the tournament in 4K HDR, which can make the picture seem more realistic and vivid.

CBS, which is producing the 4K coverage, will also simulcast this year’s Masters in High-Definition.
