DIRECTV to Air 22 Pro, College Games In 4K In March

Many of the games will be in 4K and HDR.

DIRECTV plans this month to air 22 basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer games in 4K, the satcaster has announced.

The lineup includes the 2018 debut of Major League Baseball in the new picture format as well as additional games from both college and pro basketball, the National Hockey League and soccer’s English Premier League.

DIRECTV will offer the MLB, NBA and NHL games in both 4K and HDR (High Dynamic Range), which can enhance a picture’s vividness and realism.

Here is the complete list of games that DIRECTV will offer in 4K in March, according to the satcaster. (All games will be on DIRECTV’s channel 106 except otherwise noted.)

MLB (4K HDR)
March 30: NY Yankees at Toronto at 7:07 pm ET
March 31: Houston Astros at Texas at 4:00pm EST (Ch. 105)

NHL (4K HDR)
* March 4: Chicago at Anaheim at 4 p.m. ET
* March 10: St. Louis at Los Angeles at 4 p.m. ET
* March 23: New Jersey at Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. ET
* March 31: Montreal at Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. ET

NBA (4K HDR)
* March 9: Cleveland at L.A. Clippers, 10:30 pm
* March 16: L.A. Clippers at Oklahoma City at 8:00 pm
* March 17: Minnesota at San Antonio at 8:30 pm ET
* March 28: 3/28 – Cleveland at Charlotte at 7:00 pm ET

English Premier Soccer League (4K)
March 1: Matchday 29, Arsenal vs. Man City, 2:45 pm (Ch. 105)
