Dish, Lilly Settle 2-Month Fee Fight

Dish and Lilly Broadcasting have settled their carriage battle which had left the satcaster’s viewers unable to watch 10 Lilly-owned local stations since September 30.

The companies were arguing over how much Dish should pay to carry the stations. They announced last night they had reached a new, multi-year agreement, but did not disclose the terms of the agreement.

By law, a pay TV provider can not carry a local station’s signal without its permission. The carriage pact between Dish and Lilly expired on September 30 so Lilly pulled its signals from the satcaster when they could not agree on a new one.
