Black Friday, which is November 24 this year, is the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season. Retailers then offer significant discounts on select products to persuade shoppers to begin their holiday shopping early.
Meijer, which has more than 200 stores in six Midwestern states, will begin its Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving at 6 a.m. Then on Black Friday itself, the sale will begin again at 6 a.m.
