NHL Center Ice to Offer Free Preview

Several pay TV providers tonight will begin a week-long free preview of the NHL Center Ice package of out-of-market games.

The preview, which will run from October 4 through October 10, will be available on Dish, DIRECTV, Comcast, Charter Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, Frontier and some smaller cable systems.

The NHL Center Ice plan, which costs roughly $150 for the season, features up to 40 out-of-market games each week, including dual feeds of some games. (Note: Not all matches will air in High-Definition; consult your pay TV provider for more information.)

The NHL regular season begins tonight, and the Center Ice package will air Toronto at Winnpeg at 6:30 p.m. ET and Calgary at Edmonton at 10 p.m. ET.

Dish has announced that it will also offer a free preview of the NHL Network on channel 157 during the same time as the Center Ice preview.
