DIRECTV tomorrow will begin live 4K coverage of the 2017 PGA Championship golf tournament from Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C.

The satcaster says it will show 28 hours of the match on its live 4K channel, channel 106. The 4K broadcasts will feature action on holes 16, 17 and 18.
The coverage times (ET( are as follows:
Thursday, Aug. 10 1-7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 11 1-7 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 12 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 12 2-7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug.13 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Sunday, Aug.13 2-7 p.m.
In addition to the 4K coverage, DIRECTV will offer live tournament action on a 4-screens-in-1 “mosaic” channel (channels 701-705) featuring CBS Sports and TNT coverage of the tournament.

To watch the live 4K channel on DIRECTV, you must get a compatible 4K TV, a DIRECTV HD DVR54 Genie System (or above), and installation of the Genie by a DIRECTV technician.
DIRECTV has changed the minimum package required to get its live 4K channel to Select so more subscribers could access it as well as the satcaster’s two other 4K channels, which are devoted to recurring programming and Video on Demand.
