“Despite our best efforts, we were unable to come to an agreement on terms with the network,” the company told Fierce Cable.

BeIN Sports has the broadcast rights to soccer matches from La Liga, Serie A, Ligue I, Copa del Rey, Real Madrid TV and other leagues, as well as motorcycle races from various countries.

The channel blackout is another reminder that live streaming services are not immune to the difficult carriage battles that have long plagued pay TV operators. PlayStation Vue, in fact, last year dropped Viacom-owned cable channels such as MTV and Comedy Central due to carriage disagreements. They remain off Vue’s lineup.
