DIRECTV will air this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament in 4K on its live 4K channel, channel 106.

The satcaster, which previously aired The Masters and other sporting events in 4K, says it will broadcast holes 16, 17 and 18 each day of the tournament which runs from May 18 through May 21.

DIRECTV’s live 4K coverage will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET on May 18 and 19 and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on May 20 and 21.

In addition to the 4K channel, DIRECTV will provide a ‘Mix channel’ for the tournament which displays four screens of action on one channel.

DIRECTV recently changed the minimum package required to get its live 4K channel to Select so more subscribers could access it as well as the satcaster’s two other 4K channels, which are devoted to recurring programming and Video on Demand.

To watch 4K on DIRECTV, you must get a compatible 4K TV, a DIRECTV HD DVR54 Genie System (or above), and installation of the Genie by a DIRECTV technician.
