The show, a reboot of the popular 1970s comedy starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, featured Matthew Perry as the slovenly Oscar and Thomas Lennon as the persnickety Felix.

The new Odd Couple did not sit well with critics; season one captured a mere 26 percent score at RottenTomatoes.com with 25 of 34 reviewers surveyed saying they did not like the show.

Perry and Lennon fared better with viewers, capturing more than 13 million for its live debut episode in season one, and averaging more than 11 million for the entire first season.

But the ratings started to decline in season two and three; the season three live debut episode netted fewer than five million viewers and it got progressively worse from there.
