Fox has canceled the police drama, APB, after one 12-episode season.
The show starred Justin Kirk as a billionaire who somehow manages to take control of the Chicago police department so he can find the murderer of his close friend.
Critics didn’t fall in love with the farfetched concept with RottenTomatoes.com giving it a score of just 35 out of a possible 100. Only seven of 20 reviewers in the site’s survey liked APB.
“APB is as generic as its title, failing to give us characters or stories that feel remotely realistic,” wrote Gail Pennington of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The viewers evidently agreed with the debut episode netting more than six million viewers while the now series finale generating fewer than three million.
