“Spencer is wonderful as the plucky, brilliant heroine. The premiere’s production values have an epic look unusual for weekly television,” wrote Hal Boedeker, TV critics for The Orlando Sentinel.
But Timeless suffered from declining ratings (50 percent drop from debut episode to now series finale), and the fact that NBC did not own the show. (Sony was the producing studio.)

When a ratings-starved show is not owned by its network, it’s often canceled because the network gains little in residual profits by keeping it on the air.
In related news, NBC yesterday renewed Blindspot, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.

Damn, this was one of my favorite shows. Hope Netflix or Hulu would pick it up.
