The fantasy drama, which was based loosely on The Wizard of Oz, starred Adria Arjona as Dorothy, a 20-year-old Kansas woman who is magically transported to the Land of Oz by a tornado.  Vincent D’Onofrio, a longtime NBC stablehand (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), played the Wizard.

Emerald City did not fare well with critics or viewers. The show’s RottenTomatoes.com score was just 38 percent with only 15 or 39 critics surveyed giving it a favorable review.

The show debuted with nearly five million viewers, but the last episode, now the series finale, captured less than three million. The final show aired on March 3, 2017.
