Netflix today has added 19 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup including a classic Tom Hanks film and a red-hot 2015 drama involving a risky menage a trois in Paris.
Netflix, and other streaming services such as Hulu and Amazon, traditionally bolster their streaming offerings on the first day of each month when consumers are more likely to make decisions about subscriptions.

The new title list for today is led by Forrest Gump, the 1994 comedy/drama starring Tom Hanks as a mentally-challenged young man who discovers that ‘life is like a box of chocolates’ while participating in some of history’s most notable events in the 1960s and 1970s. The film won the 1995 Academy Award for Best Picture.
Also premiering today on Netflix: Love, the erotic drama about an American film student who discovers that his bed can be like a box of chocolates — if you live in Paris and reunite with an old girlfriend named Electra. The 2015 movie, which was directed by Gaspar Noe, may be the most sexually explicit that has ever aired on Netflix streaming.
