Dish announced tonight that it has reached a multi-year carriage deal with Hearst, ending a blackout of Hearst-owned network affiliates in 26 markets.

The satcaster had been without the Hearst stations since March 3 when the two companies could not reach a new agreement.

The stations included the ABC affiliate in Boston, the NBC affiliate in New Orleans and the NBC station in Baltimore, among many others. (The old pact between the two sides expired on March 1, but Hearst and Dish agreed to a 48-hour extension, which expired on March 3.).

Dish and Hearst were fighting over how much the satcaster should pay to carry the channels.

Terms of the new pact were not disclosed.

“We are grateful to once again have Hearst Television stations providing DISH customers the quality local and national programming which we invest so heavily to offer our local communities,” said Hearst Television President Jordan Wertlieb. “We are thankful to DISH subscribers and to our supportive advertisers for their extraordinary patience during this prolonged process.”
