Netflix is testing a new feature that will let you skip the opening credits of a TV show or movie, reports CNN.

Several Netflix subscribers report they have seen a ‘Skip Intro’ button that will allow the viewer to jump to the beginning of the show. For instance, if you’re not too fond of the Ghostbusters song (and who is?), that precedes the beginning of the movie, you could jump instantly to the first scene.

CNN reports that Netflix acknowledges that it’s testing the ‘skip intro’ feature, but won’t commit to making it a permanent thing.

“We’re looking at what does or doesn’t enhance the viewing experience,” says Netflix spokeswoman Smita Saran, adding that the home video service is constantly experimenting with new features.

It’s unclear on which devices that Netflix is now testing the feature so don’t be disappointed if you don’t see it yet on yours.

While the ‘skip intro’ feature might please viewers, it could upset content creators in Hollywood who take great pride in both the song and sometimes elaborate credits montage that precede a show or movie.
