Do you like to watch more than one TV show at the same time?
Well, for you, and possibly for victims of attention deficit disorder, Sony has introduced a new feature to the PlayStation Vue live streaming service that enables you to watch three screens simultaneously.
Amazon’s Echo with Alexa: $179.
Sony is billing the new feature as a boon for fans of college basketball’s March Madness, which begins March 14.
Amazon: PlayStation 4 Bundle: $258.
“With March Madness starting next week (editor’s note: no, Sony, next week), this will be a great way to catch several live games at once from TNT, TBS, TruTV and CBS,” Sony says at its company blog. “You can also use this feature for any live TV channel available on Vue, such as watching a mix of live news programs or live events at once.”
The multi-view feature for Vue is now available on PlayStation 4. To use the feature, you press and hold the ‘X’ on your PS4 remote while watching any live TV program from the guide or live TV row on the home screen.
This opens the selection screen for multi-view. Then, a menu will display that gives you the option to use either two or three multi-view screens.
Sony did not say when the multi-view feature will be added to other devices, such as the Amazon Fire TV and iOS mobiles.
