The satcaster lost a net of 12,000 subscribers in the 2015 fourth quarter.

The subscriber total includes customers of both Dish’s satellite service and the Dish-owned Net TV service, Sling TV.

But Dish did not disclose specific subscriber numbers for the two services so it can’t be determined how much Sling TV may have contributed to Dish’s overall sub totals.

Still, Dish’s net video gain is more evidence that pay TV operators are successfully countering the trend of cord-cutting. AT&T/DIRECTV and Comcast earlier also showed net video gains in the fourth quarter.
